Welcome to the new XCOM site. After weeks of beta testing, we’re excited to launch an all-new version of the site that delivers a better experience on every device — from phones to tablets to desktops and beyond.
As an agency, we pride ourselves in being in the forefront of all things digital – from the latest developments in digital technology to the latest trends in how digital media is being consumed, and we wanted our website to be able to reflect that.
The new XCOM site has been designed and developed with a couple of key buzzwords in mind – visual, responsive and interactive. This is not just to showcase our capabilities and the work that we’re obviously proud of, but also keeping what we thought you, our audience, would like to see and experience the most.
Visual – We’ve been very lucky to be able to work and continue to work with great clients like Tourism Queensland and Flight Centre, clients whose image libraries cause swooning time and time again (probably because we’re constantly dreaming of holidays). We’ve taken that principle on board and wanted the visual elements of the new site do the talking and highlight what we, as an agency, are all about. We also felt that it was important to take and use photos of the staff to reflect the different personalities that come to make the agency – some were a lot more natural and willing than others!
Responsive – Mobile devices are becoming increasingly popular and we wanted to make sure that our audience gets the same great experience no matter how they are accessing our site, be it from smartphones, tablets, desktops and everything in between. Using best practice responsive design and development techniques, we’ve created a mobile-friendly site that renders seamlessly and perfectly to scale (fingers crossed!), without losing any of the fun.
Interactive – We love games, from Halo to ping pong to childish practical jokes, this is no understatement. With that in mind we wanted to create a site that is interactive, engaging and most of all, fun and user-friendly to navigate.
We hope you enjoy the new site as much as we enjoyed creating it.
